We have climbed to the roof of a house facing the great square of St. Peter's in Rome, and are looking directly west toward the pillared portico and lofty dome of the vast cathedral, so vast and so perfectly proportioned that we do not at first realize its enormous dimensions. 

I love looking at the young lady on the balcony who is diligently doing the laundry. She may be tired and, how knows, maybe she dislikes the housework? Yet, how many of us would love performing such chores with that stunning view? I certainly raise my hand! ☺️✋
